Claudia Koreck - Weihnachtskonzert
Claudia Koreck is back on the road in December with her Christmas concert. Her deep longing for the perfect Christmas flows into her songs in this very special Christmas program. These songs are not overloaded with bling-bling and jingle bells; they are earthy, genuine, and emotional. Lots of folk, mostly acoustic. "The album is a little Christmas miracle," wrote the Süddeutsche Zeitung, adding: "She doesn't just play a few Christmas classics; she has created a whole concept album filled with all her memories and feelings about Christmas. Such a variety is known from the wonderful soundtrack to the Christmas movie 'Love Actually'. The award-winning musician can create an incredible intimacy live. With a busload full of instruments, she, along with her fantastic musicians, presents a very special concert experience in her usual entertaining, sensitive, and powerful manner.
Claudia Koreck is one of the most well-known and versatile singer-songwriters in Germany. Since her breakthrough with the hit Fliang in 2007, she has secured a permanent place in the German music charts with 14 albums to date — including two successful children's albums. Her songs, often sung in the Bavarian dialect, combine folk, pop, and rock into a unique sound that touches generations. For her musical successes, Claudia Koreck has received several awards, including precious metals. In 2024, she was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit and honored with the Cultural Prize of Bavaria in the same year.
In addition to her own music, Claudia Koreck is active as a composer and lyricist for other artists. She has written songs for film and television, working with greats like Annett Louisan, Max Mutzke, Andreas Bourani, Helene Fischer, and Donavon Frankenreiter. Her reinterpretation of the classic Lalelu became Germany's most successful Disney video on YouTube, with over 150 million views. She also gained international attention: in 2012, she toured as a support act for The Eagles, recorded an album in Hawaii, and collaborated with renowned musicians from Los Angeles. Her current project, Kalender, is a musical annual cycle featuring twelve songs, each accompanied by impressive music videos. Together with her husband, producer Gunnar Graewert, she lives with her two children near Lake Chiemsee. In 2013, they founded the indie label Honu Lani Records, which now also includes a recording studio, a music publishing company, and management. With her authentic style, her keen sense for stories, and her musical variety, Claudia Koreck has shaped the German music scene for years and remains an extraordinary artist who constantly seeks new paths.
