iffy moves with self-produced music and a unique voice somewhere between club and living room. Growing up with mom's karaoke machine, she's been tinkering with sounds and rhythms on the computer since last year. Dreamy and danceable beats emerge that are assembled live on stage and completed with vocals.
Her goal is to create atmospheres that lie between the laid-back electronic soul of Tom Misch, the experimental pop of Saya Gray, and the driving house-techno sets of Âme.
cleo anouk seeks the unsaid between the lines with her music, the delicate connection between strength and vulnerability, between atmospheric harmonies and tight flows. Her first experiences with music were made as a classical violinist in the orchestra – singing, however, was always and constantly done as soon as the bedroom door was closed. Showing herself through singing and rap with her voice, however, took a bit more time and courage. She draws inspiration from artists like FKA Twigs, Greentea Peng & Princess Nokia.
