Matthias Walz: Der böse Mann am Klavier
After the first appointment in March 2025 sold out so quickly, there is now an additional date! On September 19, 2025, at 8 PM, the musical cabaret artist Matthias Walz will perform his program again at Sparkasse Forchheim.
Actually, Matthias Walz is very nice. Only when something annoys him, he can become quite angry. And there is much that annoys him, especially in politics. As a star of "Fastnacht in Franken," the highest-rated show on all third programs in Germany, Matthias Walz regularly delivers pointed remarks to the gathered political elite. The result is collective gasping: among the politicians, because they have to maintain a good face for a bad game. And among the rest of the audience, because they almost fall off their chairs from laughing.
Lounging casually at the piano, the man in the green suit musically sharpens his brilliant thoughts and makes his audience laugh with wit, charm, and intelligence – and sometimes even makes them think. No human abyss is foreign to him, no truth too direct. His keen observational skills and sharp-tongued eloquence can only be grounded in his solid education – a long self-taught apprenticeship in pub culture, lovingly complemented by university studies in computer science, physics, and linguistics.
So he is a wanderer between worlds, Matthias Walz. And an entertainer with integrity. Therefore, it is entirely possible that some people might find themselves choking back laughter. Because Matthias Walz wants to be like Santa Claus: People look forward to him, but also have a bit of fear about what might be coming. But to reassure you: Matthias Walz feels the same way about you. And you aren’t really angry, are you?
