Klassik am Meer: Musikalisch-Literarischer Salon
Chamber concert "Word & Music" - A cooperation between the Landesbühne Niedersachsen Nord and Klassik am Meer.
Salon music and melodramas of the Romantic era from the 19th century with works by Franz Schubert, Franz Liszt, among others, featuring Simon Kasper (piano) and Steffi Baur (vocals) on the back stage of the city theater.
"Music and Word - A Musically Literary Salon" - Under this motto, actress Steffi Baur and pianist Simon Kasper present romantic poetry and music from the 19th century. In addition to poems and piano music, rarely heard melodramas - works for speaker and piano - by Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt will be performed. In these works, the spoken text and music are layered on top of each other, greatly enhancing the dramatic content. The backstage area of the grand city theater stage offers an extraordinary atmosphere - here, artists and audiences meet in an unusual space for a concert of sound worlds.
Steffi Baur

Simon Kasper
was born in 1989 in Jever and received his first piano lessons at the age of six. In 2000, he became a student of Gundolf Semrau at the Music School Friesland in Jever. Here he was prepared for studying music after high school and his civil service. A master class with Prof. Joseph Anton Scherrer as well as award-winning participations in "Jugend musiziert" as a soloist and chamber music partner also fall within his early musical development. In 2009, he began studying music education at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater, where he focused on artistic studies. He left the piano class of Prof. Tinatin Gambashidze with the highest grade. He also received the highest grade in the subjects of choral conducting (Prof. Cornelius Trantow) and orchestral conducting (Prof. Lorenz Nordmeyer). Toward the end of his studies, he decided to dedicate himself entirely to his great passion for performing concerts and teaching piano playing. During his studies, he performed numerous concerts as a soloist in piano recitals, as a chamber music partner, and as an accompanist for choirs. He performed Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto with the Hamburg Orchestra, as well as various piano concertos by Mozart and Bach with the Baroque Orchestra Concertino Hamburg. Recently, he has increasingly focused on conducting. In early 2016, he founded the Ensemble Collegium Vocale Jever. Since the 2017/2018 season, he has also been working as the musical director at the Landesbühne Niedersachsen Nord.
