Boogielicious - Party
Boogielicious is a German-Dutch boogie, blues, and jazz trio that was initially founded in 2007 as a duo with Eeco Rijken Rapp (piano, vocals) and David Herzel (drums), but became even more homogeneous and diverse a year later as a trio with Dr. Bertram Becher on the blues harmonica. Boogielicious is currently one of the most extraordinary boogie formations in the scene in Europe, catapulting the very popular music of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s into the current century. Meanwhile, the three musicians have made their way to the forefront of their genre with their seven albums.
Media were astonished by the continuous quality of the entire album (press comments: “Effortless, weightless, simply wonderful”) at the debut album “Boogielicious” by Eeco Rijken Rapp and David Herzel, while the following albums are characterized by the unmistakable typical sound of the trio also influenced by the blues harmonica, which is rare in boogie. The live performances repeatedly turn into celebrated highlights of the concert season, and the company “Boogielicious” is also reaching a new dimension internationally. The immense joy of playing the band demonstrates not only at their numerous successful concerts in Germany but also at concerts in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, England, and Portugal. Boogielicious is a trio that electrifies lovers of handmade music and delights Boogie Woogie fans, old rock 'n' rollers, as well as traditional jazz and blues enthusiasts alike. The three musicians of Boogielicious impress with their incredible virtuosity, the uniqueness of their repertoire, and convince with their brilliant interplay – jazz is for them a way of life! Boogielicious appeals to audiences far beyond boogie woogie and blues and has now also attracted many young fans to their concerts with its unadulterated and down-to-earth sound! In short, and as the band name suggests: Delicious boogie woogie and more performed by the smallest big band in the world!
If it’s delicious, it’s Boogielicious! We look forward to seeing you!
