Schlagergang - "So schön war die Zeit!"
With "Souvenirs, Souvenirs," the Schlagergang begins their program "So schön war die Zeit" with an evening full of Schlager classics from the 50s to the 70s. Jonas Frank, Thomas Schuh, and Ines Wagner share a love for German Schlager music and take their audience back to the time of the German economic miracle up until the late 1970s. Singing along, swaying, and clapping is explicitly encouraged! But who can stay in their seats during "Rote Lippen soll man küssen," "Ich will nen Cowboy als Mann," and "Schuld war nur der Bossa Nova"?
Band founder Jonas has long cherished the desire for a band with petticoats and flat caps that brings this music to the stage. With Thomas and Ines, he found musicians who share the passion for the music of that time. Jonas, Thomas, and Ines sing solo and in harmony, accompanied by guitar, accordion, and double bass.
They sing songs by Freddy Quinn, Peter Kraus, Caterina Valente, and many more. "Musically, we can draw from a wealth of material," say the three, "this music has no limits!" The trio also breaks age boundaries, as there are a solid 40 years between the youngest and oldest band member.
The Schlagergang is looking forward to spending a spirited and unforgettable evening with their audience, leaving each person with many beautiful memories, musical "Souvenirs, Souvenirs."
