Der „König der Löwen“ verspricht: Mit einer vollen Mähne wird alles anders oder besser noch: Alles kommt an seinen Platz. Hendrik Quast nimmt das Versprechen ernst und interpretiert es neu. Er unterzieht sich einer Haartransplantation, um seinen Milieuwechsel aus der ländlichen Arbeiter*innenklasse in die Kunstwelt zu markieren und seinen Platz auf der Klassenreise zu behaupten. Eine blutige Adaption. Hendrik Quast würdigt sie in einer abgründigen Stand-Up-Comedyshow und fragt, wo seine queere Klassenreise beginnt und ob sie je zu Ende ist.

“The Lion King” promises: With a full mane, everything will be different, or even better: everything will fall into place. Hendrik Quast takes this promise seriously and reinterprets it. He undergoes a hair transplant to mark his change of milieu from the rural working class to the art world and to assert his place on the class journey. A bloody adaptation. Hendrik Quast pays tribute to it in an abysmal stand-up comedy show and asks where his queer class journey begins and whether it ever ends.
