The legendary Capitol New Year's Eve party! It's time again to rock into the new year in the usual celebratory manner. At Capitol Mannheim, Back to the 80’s and DJ Greg Silver will provide a lively New Year's Eve party atmosphere starting at 9:00 PM. The Casino will also open its doors to the Open Party at 10 PM. Goulash soup, pumpkin soup, and pretzels will be available for sale while supplies last.
With a colorful mix of pop, new wave, rock, funk, and new German wave, Back to the 80s will sweep the stage with powerful rock energy and revive the musical spirit of the 80s - shoulder pads included!
After the live concert, there’s Forever Disco with DJ Greg Silver. As a native of Mannheim, he travels the world as a DJ. He has performed in clubs worldwide, including WMC Miami, Webster Hall NYC, Pacha Ibiza, Coco Rico Rimini, Loveparade Berlin, Mayday, and Nature One.

Back to the 80s
For many, few decades were characterized by as much tastelessness and bad taste as the 80s: shoulder pads, neon leggings, and leather ties are examples that not everyone fondly remembers. Nevertheless, the decade, where conventions fell, perestroika emerged, and hairstyles like the perm were in vogue, produced a very special soundtrack that brought new energy to nightclubs and stereo systems. Back to the 80s revives the musical spirit of the 80s. With a colorful mix of pop, new wave, rock, funk, and new German wave, the six musicians sweep across the stage. Already known from well-known formations in the Rhine-Neckar region, they now unite in their mission to bring the vibe of the 80s back to the stage. Melanie Haag and Sascha Fischer form the vocal front of the group. In the rhythm section, Bernhard Aulbach (bass) and Tom Beisel (drums) deliver a powerful and driving beat that brought millions to the dance floor. Expansive synthesizer sounds, which characterized the sound of the 80s, are masterfully provided by Christopher Stumpf. The package is completed with crisp riffs and singing solos from Matthias Klöpsch on guitar. Back to the 80s perform their program with titles from Kim Wilde, Queen, Spandau Ballet, Eurhythmics, or Tom Schilling in authentic original sound. Therefore, Back to the 80s is not a normal cover band. Back to the 80s is a time machine that transports its audience back to the era of Rubik's cubes, sneakers, and Miami Vice with an exhilarating stage show.

His sets are energetic and varied, and he masterfully captivates his audience, creating unforgettable club nights. Worldwide successes in clubs and festivals Greg Silver has performed on legendary stages worldwide and has thrilled crowds in international top clubs such as Webster Hall in New York City, the famous Pacha in Ibiza, and Coco Rico in Rimini. His repertoire also includes major festivals: from Nature One to the legendary Mayday in Germany and the Polish version of the festival, he has left his mark everywhere and delighted audiences with his unique sets. Despite his international success, Greg Silver has never forgotten his homeland and is regularly a welcome guest at events and clubs in the Rhine-Neckar region. Here he plays with the same passion and energy as on the biggest stages in the world, giving something back to the local club scene and continually exciting his audience.
