The church of St. Michael is a Roman Catholic church in Würzburg. The current St. Michael's Church was built from 1765 to 1798 by Johann Philipp Geigel and Johann Michael Fischer. During the construction period, the Jesuit Order was dissolved in 1773. The former college was converted into a seminary, and the newly built church was used as a seminary church after its consecration, and later also as the central confirmation church for the Würzburg city area.

The Lutherkirche Südstadt Köln offers a diverse cultural program beyond its ecclesiastical and social function (www.lutherkirche-koeln.de), organized and implemented by its affiliated non-profit cultural association Südstadt-Leben e.V.

Weekly changing events and both short-term and long-term projects that appeal to, include, and create encounters for people of all backgrounds and denominations make it a central social attraction in the Cologne Südstadt – free, open, and people-oriented! Pastor Mörtter: “We do not want to passively observe the social, idealistic, and spiritual sell-out in our society. But without engagement, that won't work.” Südstadt-Leben e.V. was founded in 1998 to ensure it can continue.

As the revenue from church tax is no longer sufficient for church work, we are trying to continue our projects in this way. Join us! Support us so that we can support others!
