Hans Zimmer is undoubtedly one of the most significant film composers of our time. His epic soundscapes from "Gladiator," "Inception," "The Lion King," and "Interstellar" have made cinematic history. Now, his unforgettable melodies can be experienced live – in a breathtaking symbiosis of music and sand art! The sand artists, known for their spectacular live sand painting shows and celebrated on stages in Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, and Frankfurt, present "Hans Zimmer – Master of Film Music," a unique live experience. As the music of Hans Zimmer plays, magical sand images are created on the screen – drawn live before the eyes of the audience by the masters of sand art. Each line in the sand tells a story, and each image merges with the music into an emotional journey through Zimmer's cinematic universe. Under the direction of Dimitrij Sacharow, the founder of the sand theater, every performance becomes a cinematic meditation on heroes, dreams, longings, and adventures. A show that touches deeply and captivates. Experience the masterpieces of a genius – told in sand.
The sand artists are among the most renowned ensembles for live sand painting in Europe. Known from TV productions such as RTL's "Das Supertalent" in 2010, the Bavarian Film Awards in 2017, the German Television Award in 2022, and the Carmen Nebel Show (ZDF), where they performed alongside David Garrett, they have been exciting audiences for years with emotional sand stories on the grand stages of Europe from Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Leipzig, and Dresden to Tokyo, Reykjavik, Monaco, Zurich, Vienna, Lucerne, and Amsterdam.
Led by the finest generation of sand artists Natalya Netselya, Alla Denisova, Olga Lysytska, and Lina Li, they have created over 30 full-length shows and have thrilled more than 5 million spectators. Some of their most famous productions include literary masterpieces such as "The Little Prince," "A Christmas Carol," or "Krabat" (narrated by Ronny Krappmann - known as the voice of “BRISANT” ARD), "Ring Without Words" by Richard Wagner as a live performance with the Brandenburg State Orchestra, as well as the cult fairy tale "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella," brought to life by actor and audiobook narrator Oliver Kube.
Director and producer Dimitrij Sacharow, founder of the sand theater, has staged these fascinating narrative formats in sand poetically, touchingly, and memorably since 2015.
